  6. LICENSE AGREEMENT
  7. You should carefully read the following terms and conditions before using
  8. this software.  Your use of this software you indicates your acceptance
  9. of this license agreement and warranty.

  11. Shareware Version
  12. Evaluation and Registration
  13. You are hereby licensed to use this software for evaluation purposes without
  14. charge.  If you wish to register this software, you will be sent the
  15. registered version which includes tartans, crests and historical information
  16. for over 100 clans and 1,000 associated septs.
  17.  
  18. You may register this product by paying a registration fee of $17.00 US or
  19. $20.00 CDN.  Payments must be sent to Liquid Software Inc., P.O. Box 5903,
  20. Station A, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5W 1P3.  Please select the Ordering
  21. Information button for more information on how to register.  When payment is
  22. received you will be sent a registered copy of the latest version of Tartan
  23. Screen Saver.

  25. Unregistered use of Tartan Screen Saver is in violation of U.S., Canadian
  26. and international copyright laws.

  28. Distribution
  29. Provided that you verify that you are distributing the Shareware Version
  30. (select About from the Tartan Screen Saver menu to check) you are hereby
  31. licensed to make as many copies of the Shareware version of this software
  32. and documentation as you wish; give exact copies of the original Shareware
  33. version to anyone; and distribute the Shareware version of the software and
  34. documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means.  There is no
  35. charge for any of the above.

  37. You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for
  38. any such copies, however made; and from distributing the software and/or
  39. documentation with other products (commercial or otherwise) without prior
  40. written permission, with one exception:  Disk Vendors approved by the
  41. Association of Shareware Professionals are permitted to redistribute Tartan
  42. Screen Saver, subject to the conditions in this license, without specific
  43. written permission.

  45. Registered Version
  46. One registered copy of Tartan Screen Saver may either be used by a single
  47. person who uses the software personally on one or more computers, or
  48. installed on a single workstation used non-simultaneously by multiple
  49. people, but not both.

  51. You may use the registered version of Tartan Screen Saver through a network,
  52. provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the software covering
  53. all workstations that will access the software through the network.

  55. GOVERNING LAW
  56. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario,
  57. Canada.

  59. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
  60. THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND WITHOUT 
  61. WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES 
  62. WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.

  64. Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be thoroughly
  65. tested with non-critical data before relying on it.  The user must
  66. assume the entire risk of using the program.  ANY LIABILITY OF THE SELLER
  67. WILL BE LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF PURCHASE
